Western Wats now has over 13 phone centers. Our Cebu, Phillipines facility being the first outside North America, is proud to be the largest and fastest growing of them all. Strategically located inside the Mactan Export Processing Zone- 2 (MEZ-2), on the island of Mactan, Western Wats Philippines has successfully operated in the Philippines since August 2003. The decision to set up operations in the Philippines was largely credited to the fact that there is a tremendous abundance of untapped human resources fluent in both written and spoken English being the 3rd largest English Speaking nation in the world. Cebu was selected as the site for the center because of the availability of college educated, English speaking local talents, as well as the advanced telephony infrastructure and geo-political stability that exists. The Cebu phone center is a wholly owned subsidiary of Western Wats and is exclusively dedicated to survey research. The facility is directed by executive management at our headquarters in Orem, Utah. The center currently occupies three floors and employs more than 1,500 full time employees who operate 700 interviewing stations.
Cebu is one of the provinces in the Philippines. The capital, Cebu City, is the second largest city in the Philippines. It is one of the most developed provinces in the country and the main center for commerce, trade, education and industry in the central and southern parts of the archipelago.
